In summary...
We are a Christian church, made up of a family of all age ranges who have found new life together through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, the living Son of God, and who want to share that life changing discovery with as many others as possible.
We are an Independent church. That is, not tied to any human, traditional or custom-based denominations but instead believing that the Bible teaches us that any congregation of Christians should be self-governing and subject solely to the authority of the Bible and thus directly to God Himself.
We are an Evangelical church, which means we are committed to the Bible, seeking to shape our lives both individually and corporately in line with its instruction whilst also desiring to share its core message with others about the radical, transforming, good news (the Gospel) about Jesus Christ and who He is and what He has and continues to do for us.
We are a Baptist church, believing that baptism is the sign of a changed life desiring obedience to Jesus Christ. It is our practice to baptise only those who confess their faith in Christ as Lord and Saviour. Our usual mode of baptism is by immersion but we do not exclude membership or Communion to believers who sincerely hold a different view of baptism. By this we believe we uphold Scriptural teaching whilst maintaining the unity of true Christian believers.
We are a Reformed church, that is we love the truths emphasised by the Protestant Reformation of the 16th Century. Nevertheless, we welcome true Christian believers from other backgrounds (and also any who claim to be atheists or agnostics!) to come along and join us in our activities.
Finally, and importantly, we desire to be a Welcoming church, seeking to foster real Christian fellowship, mutual concern, and love in the life of our congregration and with all folk in our local area and beyond.
