Our Elders

We believe in pluralistic oversight of all aspects of our church as identified clearly in the bible (in particular, 1 Timothy 3).  We currently have three Elders:

(photos to be supplied)

Paul Gibson:  Joined us in May 2013 as our Pastor with primary responsibilty for biblical teaching.  Paul came to faith at Oxford University and worked as a teacher in Maidenhead.  He later became an apprentice in Danbury where he completed the Cornhill training course.  While studying at Oakhill Theological College he joined High Barnet Baptist Church and later became pastor-in-training and then Elder at Emmanuel Evangelical Church, Leamington Spa.  Paul is married to Helen and they have two young children, Sarah and Timothy.

Bob Baxter:  Has been a dedicated servant of the Lord in our church for over 30 years.  A now retired GP, Bob, together with his wife, Beth, focuses primarily on pastoral care within our church and maintaining our outward, worldwide mission links.

Peter Butler:  Like Bob above, Peter has for over 30 years (together with his wife Ada) been a dedicated servant of the Lord in our church.  He has now retired after a career in the Probation and Prison services and concentrates primarily on preaching and teaching both in our church and others around the local region.
